Crowd control to improve the shopping experience
For the Abingdon Traditional Craft Fair 2023 we will be managing numbers to achieve a regular flow of visitors rather than a dense crowd in the middle of the day. When we managed numbers using entry time slots in 2021 (because of Covid) a lot of people told us that they preferred the slightly less crowded rooms. In addition the Abbey Buildings are now working to tighter fire restrictions than in the past and this system will also help us to manage occupancy for fire safety reasons.
We strongly advise that you purchase your ticket online in advance to guarantee your ability to enter at the time you arrive.
Tickets will still be available at the door but, if an hour is already fully booked online, we may have to ask people who turn up without pre-ordering to wait until the next hour.

Ages 10 - 18 entry ticket £3
Ages 9 and under please still book a ticket for them but there will be no charge.
Now decide the entry time slot you would like: Friday is 3rd November, Saturday is 4th November, Sunday is 5th November. Please enter at any time during the time slot you have chosen. You can take as long as you like in the craft fair - the time only refers to your arrival, not the amount of time you can stay.
